    Hcéres evaluates the second French Rare Diseases Plan


    In summer 2014, Hcéres (then AERES) was commissioned by the Ministries for research and health to evaluate the research component of the 2011-2014 2nd French Rare Diseases Plan. At the same time, the French High Council for Public Health (HCSP) was entrusted with the treatment component of the Plan, and the two evaluations were carried out in a simultaneous and coordinated fashion.

    The 2016-2017 evaluation campaign is underway!

    In preparation for the 2016-2017 evaluation campaign (Group C), Hcéres met the relevant institutions during January/February at 8 meetings organised by site (Alsace site, Champagne-Ardenne site, Corsica, Limousin/Poitou-Charentes/Centre Val-de-Loire, Lorraine site, Marseille site, Nice site and Picardy site).

    Michel Cosnard decides to appoint an expert from the research support staff for the evaluation of each mixed research unit (UMR)

    From 7 December 2015, a research support staff expert (engineer, technician, administrator) will be appointed to the expert committees that have not yet been filled for evaluation of mixed research units (UMR) (Group B – 2015-2016).

    Presentation of the 2016-2017 evaluation campaign (Group C)

    On 17 and 18 November 2015, Hcéres organised meetings with institutions from the Alsace, Centre-Val de Loire, Champagne-Ardenne, Corsica, Limousin, Lorraine, Picardy, Poitou-Charentes and Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur regions in preparation for the 2016-2017 evaluation campaign.

    After a long period of consultation with representatives of the relevant communities (sections of the French universities board (CNU), sections of the French National Committee for Scientific Research (CoNRS), professional associations), two updated lists of journals, one for economics and the other for management, have been published today.
